Charter5m ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our app.
1. Information We Collect
- Email address when you sign in (via Apple Sign-In or email/password)
- Display name (optional, set during sign-up)
- A unique account identifier so your data syncs across your devices
- Learning progress data (lessons completed, flashcard reviews, mini-test attempts, streaks, glossary favourites)
- Your subscription status
- Crash reports (technical information about app failures, with your account identifier and display name attached for support; email is never sent)
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect solely to:
- Provide personalized learning experiences and spaced repetition scheduling
- Sync your progress across devices
- Diagnose and fix crashes that affect your experience
- Manage your subscription
3. Data Storage
Your account, learning data, and per-user content (favourites, reminders) are stored securely on our cloud infrastructure, with access controls that ensure only you can read your own records.
4. Third-Party Services
Charter5m relies on a small number of trusted service providers to operate the app. Each one processes only the limited data needed to perform its function:
- Authentication & secure storage — keeps your account and learning data safe and synced across devices
- Sign in with Apple — an optional sign-in method you can choose
- Subscription processing — validates purchases and manages your premium access
- Crash diagnostics — anonymous-by-default; we attach your account identifier and optional display name to crash reports for debugging, but never your email or device IP address
We do not use advertising networks, third-party analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking. No data is sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data at any time.
To delete your account: open Charter5m → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, learning progress, favourites, reminders, and any subscription association from our servers. The action cannot be undone.

6. Children's Privacy
Charter5m is designed for adult learners preparing for professional exams. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
